Hi Thellekycauldron, pls help to block sock /meat sock IP addresses above which they are "mass" vandalising German political articles where they were blocked 4 times today by Oshwah already. Thank you Cassiopeia talk 06:38, 12 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Notice when promoting hooks

edit

When I open the PSHAW page, every time, it gives me a pop-up that it looks like I edited the nom page, even if I never edited that and/or the article. I think the notice should only appear if the promoter has made at least one edit to the relevant pages. JuniperChill (talk) 22:32, 14 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@JuniperChill: thanks for the note! should be fixed now? theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 22:34, 14 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Great, thank you for the fix leek! I also note that I was the third user, and first non-nom who commented/supported the RfA. It was even more so when two of my favourite users was nominating (you can see that I had a chat with both users before). I even managed to write more than a sentence to become one of the first! Good thing I refreshed my watchlist. JuniperChill (talk) 22:46, 14 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@JuniperChill: ooh, quick on the draw! I've seen RfAs (own included?) where people are edit conflicting each other in the support section, it's always fun for candidates when that happens :) theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 11:30, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
I was lucky considering that the next comment was simply a signature and that it happened 1 min later. I think I had an edit conflict when voting on an RfA before, but I never did on this one. JuniperChill (talk) 17:39, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Generic middle-east topics template

edit

I really don't know why you left a generic middle-east topics template on my talk page, when I've been editing middle-east related Wikipedia articles off and on for upwards of 15 years. Furthermore, Jewish Palestinian Aramaic is NOT an article related to the Arab-Israeli conflict (as your use of the template falsely claims) -- that language died out about a thousand years ago, and the use of "Palestinian" as a scholarly term there has nothing to do with modern politics. The real problem is that the article has a tendency to attract the attention of cranks. I really don't need your advice in dealing with linguistic cranks on the topic of ancient Aramaic languages, but thanks anyway... AnonMoos (talk) 17:21, 18 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@AnonMoos: Thanks for stopping by my talk page! Sorry for the response delay, I've been busy. First: my bad on the intro to contentious topics alert. Second: "the article has a tendency to attract the attention of cranks" is really not a great justification for the comment that earned you a warning. Please be civil to other users in your interactions, even when you disagree with them, otherwise you might be blocked from editing. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 09:30, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
