Peptide

You removed a link to the Peptide Resource Page (PRP) ( *Peptide Resource Page ) for the Wikipedia article "Peptide" . The PRP is designed for scientists by a scientist and prior to its removal was listed with the "Peptide" article untouched for many months. PRP links are carefully chosen and annotated by hand. I would hope you would reconsider listing it and compare/contrast it to other sites that have appeared in the Peptide external links section which may indeed be less meaningful and purely automated spam. Thank you for your consideration.

Mariah Carey

I think we should delete the sections "Trivia" and "Quotes", because 1. There are no sources!!!!! 2. Quotes should be at wikiquote not wikipedia!!!

Autoroute

Hi, Mr. Z-man. I'm back. I've posted my initial arguments on Talk:Autoroute. Joeldl 09:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC) Are you ready to resume the mediation? Joeldl 03:19, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Mr.Z-man. Thank you very much for your help with Autoroute. You did a great job. I guess I didn't have the imagination to think that we could just get rid of the definition, etc., altogether. Joeldl 05:33, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Editor review

I reviewed you. I forgot to add, don't get too caught up in the politics, like we had with Daniel Brandt and the Essjay affair. (Do as I say, not as I did. :] ) It can get distracting after a while; you need to remind yourself what you're trying to do here, and not get caught up in all those other things that go on. Best regards. YechielMan 01:33, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Stupid

First, we don't do these things by vote count (and if we did, the anon wouldn't have counted). Second, "stupid" is indeed not a reason, but it seems to me that the person who said that was simply trying to make a joke and really meant "per the above". More importantly, though, "being mentioned" doesn't count as external coverage. What matters is if they actually said something about the site. For instance, the mention at Foodnetwork is just an address in a list of many. The mention in Pcmag is also just a link in a web directory. What we're looking for in sites such as these is external coverage. For instance, this page lists sites that cover Wikipedia in actual news articles, as opposed to this list which shows sites which merely mention us. HTH! >Radiant< 09:19, 19 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The Catnip Peddlers Album Art:

Since the article is highly likely to be deleted, is there really a point in replacing the album art for that band? If so how small does the image need to be? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Emevas (talkcontribs) 14:23, 22 March 2007 (UTC).Reply

Alright, so as expected, the article got deleted, since it is a copyrighted image, and the article isn't likley to be resubmited, Is there any way I can speed up the deletion of the image? --Emevas 01:30, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Edit wAr

About the edit war on PCD (album) - do you think it's time to unprotect the pages? Discussion seems to have halted, and I'm a little uncomfortable leaving things locked for the full two months if the problem has blown over. Adam Cuerden talk 14:25, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Category:Port cities in the Middle East

Hi. Thank for creating this category. I agree that Category:Port cities is overcrowd. However it will be better to categorize it by country and above this by region or Continent. Also the concept of Middle East is not defined well. For example Pakistan, as i know, is not part of this region. --Shmuliko 11:54, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Skapsis

Hi. You commented that you thought this article was salvageable -- so can you help salvage it? I'm having a hard time finding anything that meets WP:OR and WP:V but maybe you can come up with something I couldn't find. I have added additional comments on the AfD page about looking for reliable sources.

If you can spare the time, I'd appreciate any help you can give us with this. Thanks, --A. B. (talk) 13:20, 27 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, I've fixed the problem. I wonder why I didn't think of that? XVreturns 19:39, 2 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, seeing you have been involved in previous Afd debates on the subject I invite you to contribute to this discussion to clarify certain issues about football player notability. example code

I hacked togerther a rough example of how to do what I suggested at User:CMummert/Sandbox.

But the more I think of it, I think that the following syntax might be better:

{{article issues|npov=y|npovdate=March 2006|cleanup=y|wikify=y|wikifydate=January 2006}}

That makes a clean separation between turning a issue on versus adding its date, and it would allow the automated tagging bots to add date parameters without having to edit what is already there, which might be easier for the bots to do. CMummert · talk 13:38, 1 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

FAC

Regarding your note at Raul's page,[1] usually "no news is good news" at FAC. People object quickly to the troubled articles, but wait to see if anyone finds anything wrong on the articles that look solid. It looks good on first pass. I left you two notes in edit summary of work needed. See WP:DASH on the difference between hyphens, endash and emdash, and solo years shouldn't be linked per WP:MOSNUM. Trevor Loflin

Please note that the section of SAT to which the page on Trevor Loflin was merged has been deleted, and for good reason; the information on Trevor Loflin was entirely inappropriate in that article. I have nominated the article on Mr. Loflin for deletion a second time. Based on your participation either in the article on Trevor Loflin or in the previous afd, you may wish to participate in the article's present deletion discussion. Thanks. Articleissues template

I've now put the template in mainspace for trial, but now only have done for one article, parapsychology, I've posted it on village pump here. When it starts to be used more we'll see what happens. Thank you for designing it! WooyiTalk, Editor review 22:57, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hmm not yet, since I don't do bots. So should we wait until the bots are done? WooyiTalk, Editor review 23:17, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Okay I won't mass-implement it yet. Possibly I'll also ask User:Gracenotes to look at it, he's an expert on template (and I believe you are as well :) ). Cheers! WooyiTalk, Editor review 23:21, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your message 7 April

Thanks for the explanation re action, but I'm left wondering just how bad personal abuse has to be for someone to be blocked without any warnings. My observation as a relative newcomer to Wikipedia is that while the level 1, 2, 3 etc vandalism warning system is right for silly mucking up of articles by vandals for entertainment, the replacing of someone's user page with abuse in response to a warning, is in a different category which requires different actions. In the bricks-and-mortar world of say, a school environment, this is something which would be instinctively understood. Regards, Rexparry sydney 01:43, 8 April 2007 (UTC) (PS no reply expected)Reply

Adopt-A-User program

Hello! I saw that you are available for an adoptee and wondered if you would consider me for one of your open slots. I haven't been here very long, but for the most part I have been cleaning up vandalism using Lupin's Anti-Vandal Tool. I have recently become interested in stub-sorting and categorizing as well. I would like to venture into more involved article-editing, but I would like to get a better handle on Wikipedia's policies first. I am in general a very considerate editor and a stickler for spelling and grammar. Wikipedia makes my head want to explode sometimes, so I would just like to have someone I can ask all the random questions I come up with! :) Thanks! Literacola 02:01, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Blood purity

Wow, I wish that template was functional. I just removed removed them because they're basically clutter on the article, and on the talk page, they put it in weird categories for a talk page, so I linked them. As long as there is a template directing users to the talk page, I don't think we need more than one template on the article. I suppose I do have a vested interest, I'm a member of Wikipoject Harry Potter. John Reaves (talk) 04:02, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
