Surname

The page referred to him as "Barrientos". As with most Spanish-speaking people, he has two surnames, Valencia and Barrientos, see here [1]. If he was still living in a Spanish-speaking country he would be Mr Valencia because the first surname (father's) is predominant. However to avoid lack of confusion I think it's better to call him "Valencia Barrientos" with both surnames unless we have a source in which he shows preference for one over the other, which would be hard to find as he is known by an artistic name.
