==Inspiration==
The National Dwarf Fashion Show is a national event initiated by Myriam Chalek, CEO of Creative Business House, who after witnessing [[dwarf]] women struggling to find the appropriate clothes decided to raise awareness to achondroplasia by exposing the fashion and modeling industry to the unexplored market of dwarfism. Often times alterations needed to be made on clothes and people living with dwarfism have to spend twice as much to dress accordingly to their small size. Partnering with The French non profit organization, Donnons Leur Une Chance, The National Dwarf Fashion Show increased opportunities for people with [[dwarfism]] within the modeling and fashion industry. The mission statement of The National Dwarf Fashion show is to celebrate with pride Little People’s contribution to social diversity and raise positive global awareness to the prominent issues affecting individuals of short stature. Too often disable individuals affected by dwarfism are victims of discrimination. Many assimilate dwarfs with freak related entertainment  provoking irritation, distress and outrage. Hence the objective of the National Dwarf Fashion Show to show that people with dwarfism are no different than any other person. The National Dwarf Fashion Show is about boosting self confidence of those living with dwarfism and raising awareness of the struggles they face. <ref name=GLAM>{{cite news|last1=Stark|first1=Stephanie|title=The Dwarf Fashion Show Debuts in New York City|url=http://www.glammonitor.com/2015/dwarf-fashion-show-debut-2580/|accessdate=22 July 2015|publisher=Glammonitor}}</ref>
