Buckles' [[ownership|owners]] who are strict and kind. Paul and Jill Haggerson love Buckles. When he did something bad, they often scold him and put him in the [[Garage (house)|garage]].

Paul, or Jill Haggerson, often says/yells '''"BUCKLES, YOU BAD DOG!!!!"''' (which is their [[catchphrase]]) when they are annoyed with Buckles.
