Enzymes[3] are molecules that assist in several biological processes, notably in digestion. Those that assist the Majins like Super Buu in digestion have the appearance of green globs that attach to food in order to break it down, and they form green slime that sticks together to help dissolve tougher foods.

Majin Buu Saga[]
The enzymes inside Buu appear in filler in the episode "The Innards of Buu". While walking through Buu's intestines, Goku and Vegeta hear a strange noise. They then notice a group of enzymes, which are in the process of breaking food down. Before long, a few enzymes start to come towards the two Saiyans, who try to dodge them. Vegeta starts to attack the enzymes while Goku speaks to himself, allowing a few enzymes to sneak up and latch onto his mouth and chest. First there are seven, then twenty enzymes attach to Goku until his mouth and chest are completely covered. As they are very sticky, it takes a long time for even Goku to get rid of them.
While Goku is trying to get rid of the sticky enzymes on his mouth and chest, another group attacks his back and another group attacks his legs. The sticky enzymes make it hard to move or struggle as they begin to painfully dissolve Goku, making him yell in agony.
At this moment, Vegeta notices that there is an earthquake as a Roundworm comes out. While Goku struggles to get rid of the sticky slimes, Vegeta notices that the slimes are communicating with the Roundworm. The Roundworm is about to eat Goku, but Goku finally gets rid of the enzymes by releasing his ki in the form of an Explosive Wave.

In Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, Majins are noted to have the ability to digest poisonous substances and/or foods without any ill effects, with them being able to consume Poisonous Mushrooms or dishes made with them without suffering from food poisoning as non-Majins would. However they are still effected by PP Candy and as shown in Dragon Ball Xenoverse Chronoa's infamously horrible cooking can even give the Majin Future Warrior stomach cramps, indicatng that while capable of digesting poisonous foods, it processes drugs like Bulma's PP Candy in the same manner as an Earthling (as Bulma's PP Candy is implied to effect Human-type Earthlings as well as Animal-type Earthling like Oolong), though Chronoa's cooking is so terrible that even those with strong digestion like Majins and Beerus (who is able to consume poisoned food in the manga without suffering any ill effects and while not as debilitated as Goku was by consuming Chronoa's Pudding in Xenoverse 2 Beerus still disliked the taste to the point of he became enraged) suffer from consuming it.
