Experimental study of coupled two-dimensional models of sliding and spinning friction

Abstract

An experimental study of coupled models of sliding and spinning friction is carried out. The models are based on Padé approximants of exact integral models. The experimental setup specially designed for the study is described. The experimental procedures are outlined and the results obtained are analyzed.
