Abstract
The self-modulation of weakly relativistic plasma waves in equal mass (electron-positron) plasmas has been investigated by employing the Krylov-Bogoliubov-Mitropolsky perturbation technique. It is found that one-dimensional electron plasma waves are modulationally stable and that they can propagate in the form of dark envelope solitons.
