Crofter's Cottage Melvaig, near Gairloch, Wester Ross, Highland, Scotland

Applecross is a tiny, secluded fishing village. It has been known as a sanctuary since St Maol Rubha brought Christianity here over a thousand years ago. Today, tucked away over the Britain's most spectacular pass, the Bealach Na Ba, it still offers visitors an escape from modern life.
