I came into the marriage with so many expectations, but I found myself constantly disappointed because those expectations were not being met. Over time, my heart hardened, and I became bitter towards my husband. After a prolonged struggle in this area, I hesitantly surrendered my expectations to the Lord and learned how to trust God with my desires.

💕 this. So many people can be selfish and think only their needs matter. It’s ha4 to imagine that bc marriage is a united team
