Synopsis for "The Heart That Attacked the World"

As Green Lantern charges his ring with the Power Battery, a streak of yellow light enters Earth's atmosphere, causing the Battery to short-circuit and knock Green Lantern unconscious. This yellow light, however, is Sinestro, who arrived at Earth. Sinestro tracks Weather Wizard and asks him to create a worldwide enshrouding cloud that hides him from the Guardians of the Universe. In return, he links Flash's hearth to the Earth's core, causing natural disasters every time he uses his superspeed.

Flash and Green Lantern, who woke up from his knock-out, search separately for their respective foes, unaware that they are teaming up. Flash finds Weather Wizard's lair and tries to catch him, but his superspeed causes disasters that shift his attention from the battle, like a mountain emerging from the ground with a bus full of people trapped at the top. Green Lantern notices the disasters, so he helps to bring the bus and its passengers to safety. Suddenly, Weather Wizard strikes the Flash with a lightning bolt, and Barry's heart stops by the shock. The sudden stop of his heart, connected to the Earth's core, causes the mountain top to crumble down. Flash recovers mid-air and catches Weather Wizard as he falls. At ground level, Green Lantern spots Sinestro disguised as a civilian. He stops the foe and probes his mind, discovering his schemes. Afterward, Green Lantern nullifies Sinestro's effect on Barry's heart and removes the cosmic screen that hid Earth from the Guardians. Back home, Barry Allen celebrates his anniversary with his wife, Iris.
