"Truth" is a storyline that took place in the later part of New 52, centered around Superman's secret identity being exposed to the world. This event was a major turning point for the Man of Steel, as he was forced to confront the consequences of his double life and the impact it had on his loved ones and the people of Earth. With the revelation of his true identity, Superman faced a new set of challenges and dangers, as he struggled to maintain his role as a symbol of hope and justice in a world that now knew his every move. The "Truth" event was a landmark moment in Superman's history, and remains one of the most significant storylines in the character's long and storied legacy.
History[]
The event began with Superman losing his powers after a battle where he used a solar flare which drained his powers. This left him vulnerable and exposed, forcing him to rely on his wits and his alter ego, Clark Kent, to survive. However, his struggles were far from over, as a new threat emerged in the form of a group called Hordr_Root, who hacked into the files of the Daily Planet and exposed Superman's secret identity to the world. Superman was faced with a dilemma - he could either deny his identity and potentially put his loved ones in danger, or admit the truth and face the consequences. After consulting with his closest friends and allies, including Batman and Wonder Woman, Superman made the difficult decision to come clean about his secret identity. However, this decision came with a price. Superman was stripped of his Clark Kent persona and forced to reveal his true self to the world. He struggled to maintain his role as a superhero and a symbol of hope, as he was now constantly under surveillance and scrutiny. He also faced new threats from enemies who sought to use his loved ones as leverage against him.
