Quote1 He looked like Darkseid. Quote2
— Malhedron src

Malhedron was a general of Highfather's army, a powerful New God who was very loyal to Highfather.

He indicates that he and his team, The Wheel, used to serve in Darkseid's army, until they defected to Highfather's army. However Malhedron eventually leaves Highfather's army, as he believes Highfather is becoming a tyrant akin to Darkseid.

Godhead

Malhedron is introduced as a general in Highfather's army. At an assembly of the Council of Eight, he was raked by Highfather with stealing the Red Lantern Ring from a female human Red Lantern, and he managed to succeed in doing so. [1] He and The Wheel are tasked with retrieving rings from the emotional spectrum. Throughout this arc he questions whether Highfather's quest for a weapon to destroy Darkseid is a good idea. He confides his doubts about Highfather to Dia. Despite helping capture various Lantern Corps members, Malhedron begins to empathize with them. As Highfather tries to blast John Stewart, Sinestro, and Saint Walker with his Emotional Spectrum infused scepter Malhedron jumps in the way blocking most of the blast. He then helps the Lanterns boom tube away to the catacombs of New Genesis. He then resolves to free the other Lanterns and leave New Genesis.

Powers

  • New God Physiology: The beings of New Genesis call themselves Gods and live outside of normal time and space, even outside of the normal 52 universes. These New Gods have evolved due to taking up the powers of other gods and through the use of the Source, believed to be one of the ultimate foundations of the Universal Expression of Energy, along with their superior technology, into beings of genetic stability and evolutionary perfection. The denizens of New Genesis are immortal, stronger, faster, and smarter than homo sapiens, despite their resemblance.
    • Superhuman Durability: Malhedron withstood an attack from Highfather's scepter, while it was imbued with the Emotional Spectrum.
    • Superhuman Strength: Malhedron has been able to fight and subdue multiple Lantern Corps members with relative ease.

Abilities

  • Leadership: Malhedron is a general in Highfather's army and as such has likely already proven himself a good leader. The Wheel have shown great respect for his authority. Although Malhedron is very loyal to Highfather, he occasionally wonders if Highfather's actions are truly for the good of New Genesis.

Equipment

  • Armor: Malhedron wears a type of armor which seemingly can't be damaged by conventional weapons. His armor is only significantly damaged when Highfather blasts Malhedron with his Emotional Spectrum infused scepter. Its likely that his armor is either from New Genesis or Apokolips.
  • Mother Box

Transportation

Weapons

  • Genesisian Staff: A weapon he uses often, when he wields the staff he is able to create an energy based hammer.

  • Malhedron is an relationship with Dia, a member of The Wheel. Dia looks significantly older than Malhedron. Although since Malhedron has white hair, he may be as old as her.
  • He has many scars all over his body.
