Justice League of America #163 is an issue of the series Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 1979. It was published on November 9, 1978.

Synopsis for "Concert of the Damned"

Green Arrow is ambushed in his apartment by Anton Allegro, a mad musical composer whose special synthesizer instrument can summon tip magical demons to do his bidding, an invention he uses to seek revenge against those he imagines have wronged him, including once-wealthy financier Oliver Queen. Several members of the Justice League track down Allegro and attempt to save his intended victims, but are mostly defeated except for Batman and Superman, who manage to save Allegro's last victim, but fail to capture the madman.

In the meantime, Zatanna and Zatara (whom she has located) probe the recent past to learn the reason for her amnesia. Her new costume, a duplicate of the one worn by her mother, Sindella, proves to be the result of a transformation caused by the supposedly deceased Sindella in an effort to contact her husband and daughter. Zatanna uses all her mystical powers to create a portal to communicate with her mother, but as soon as she gets a glimpse of her, the portal closes and the connection is broken.
