Synopsis for "Part One: Gone but Not Forgotten"
Maxwell Lord has risen from the dead as a result of the events in Blackest Night/Brightest Day. Superman and the rest of the JLA have called on a world wide manhunt that includes every law enforcement agency and superhero on the planet. Amongst those most eager to find Lord are the former members of the Justice League International. Fire, working as an agent of Checkmate, and Captain Atom, working for the US Military, team up along with Ice to investigate an unexplained energy wave from a cave in Yemen that they believe to be Max Lord. Meanwhile, Booster Gold visits the abandoned JLI Embassy in New York City believing that Max is 5 steps ahead of them as usual. He does indeed find Lord hiding in the Embassy but Lord defeats him, leaving him bloody and unconscious. Skeets soon arrives accompanied by Fire, Ice, and Captain Atom, their mission in Yemen having gone haywire. They all get knocked out and awake to find that Max has used a machine to amplify his mind control powers to an unprecedented level. They realize this when Superman arrives and has no recollection of who Maxwell Lord is.
