Synopsis for "A Mote in God's Eye"

In New Genesis, Takion and Beautiful Dreamer discuss about wether they should or should not have a romantic relationship. Takion, as a blind man who gained sight very recently, can't trust his emotions, feeling as if he is "blinded" by Dreamer's beauty, one of the very few women he saw in his life. Suddenly, they feel a cosmic disturbance in the universe.

Elsewhere, Metron and Desaad encounter one of the Promethean Giants that escaped from the Source Wall. Metron speaks with the colossus, called Prodigian, and asks about his imprisonment in the Promethean Galaxy, expecting to learn how to rescue Darkseid from the Source. Prodigian is curious about it as well, calling his "brief imprisonment" more than an inconvenience. Suddenly, a hooded giant appears before the two gods, claiming to have a similar mission.

Back in New Genesis, Takion and Dreamer stop feeling the cosmic disturbance. Takion wants to leave their previous conversation aside, but Dreamer does something for him: since Takion wants to abandon his godly abilities and be human again, Dreamer uses her powers to temporarily grant him his wish.

Meanwhile, the inhabitants of the planet Vendaricar notice the absence of the four Promethean Giants they worship as their gods.
