Firefist was one of the first Khund Legionnaires.
History
Firefist's story is a common one on Khundia. Through strength and leadership abilities, the young Khund rose through the military ranks, and was awarded the chance for cybernetic enhancement. He had his entire body mechanically enhanced for greater strength, speed and endurance, and had an energy-blaster built into the armour. He claimed his wife the most beautiful female on Khundia, Veilmist.
Firefist was among Khund warriors which included his wife Veilmist, a teleporter, Blood Claw, who possesses indestructible claws and Flederweb, a winged bounty hunter. These four were chosen to accompany the Legion of Super-Heroes in their fight against Mordru, due to the threat to the United Planets and the Khundish Empire. The deal between the Khunds and the Legion stipulated that he was to co-lead the team, but his aggressive nature caused so many conflicts. His temper was his downfall, as during the battle he lashed out at Legionnaire Devlin O'Ryan, whose reflective powers apparently killed Firefist with his own blast.
Whilst buried his cybernetic systems actually kept him alive, and the Khunds rebuilt him. He is back in the Khundish military, and has recently completed an assignment to kill Starfinger. He crossed paths with the Legion, and hoped to get revenge on them for what in his eyes was an abandonment, but was forced by the arrival of the cadets from the United Planets Militia Academy to make a retreat. He is currently loyal to the Khundish military, and had been involved in a plot to destroy Weber's World.

- Cybernetic Enhancement: As a cyborg Firefist possesses all of the various superhuman attributes:
- Superhuman Strength: As a Cyborg Firefist is superhumanly strong and possesses beyond the human limit.
- Superhuman Speed: As a Cyborg Firefist can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.
- Superhuman Durability: As an a Cyborg Firefist body is composed of metal. This material makes him durable to most attacks.
- Superhuman Stamina: As a Cyborg Firefist can exert itself well beyond the human limit as long as he has sufficent power.
- Superhuman Agility: As an a Cyborg Firefist agility, balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete.
- Audio Sensitivity: He can adjust the sensitivity of his audio receptors to a point where he can detect the faintest of sounds.
- Visual Scanners: He is capable of scanning life forms, energy sources and other objects detecting the substances that they are composed of.
- Energy Weapon: Firefist arms were replaced with Khnundish energy weapons. The weapon fires a great force of energy enough to destroy his own armor when it was backfired against him.
