Eisno Alkor is an alien criminal who was granted incredible power to become Synmar Utopica, protector of his people. He is an enemy of Superman and the Justice League.
History
Origins
On the planet Synmar the members of the government watched Krypton explode and saw a single survivor escape directed to Earth. Knowing the effects of a yellow sun on a Kryptonian they grew worried about the fact that the child might become a threat but decided to take no action as the child had yet to prove a danger, but decided to be prepared in case he ever became one.
Eisno Alkor was a defense volunteer in the war between his people, the Synmar, and the Thanagarians when he was selected for the process that would grant him powers similar to Superman's.
After being given his powers he became a hero for his people and fought many battles, after one of such battles he came back to his world for the festivities and there he discovered during a casual coversation with his president that he was modelled after another but despite his curiosity his president left him alone with his doubts and went to sleep.
In the following years his doubts only worsened and became depressed, regretting many of the things he had to do and started to consider himself a only weapon, he received a call for help but arrived to late to save anyone, with the last survivor repeating that he should have been there as their Superman, leaving Synmar wondering who was this Superman.[1]
Mythological
The attack had actually been launched by fellow Synmars who disagreed upon Utopica himself and Eisno, enraged over the fact that he was only an imitation, attacked both sides and took control over the planet and left for Earth to capture Superman to punish him, as he considered him responsible for dividing his people.
He arrived in Earth's orbit where he was confronted by Superman who tried to placate him and as an answer Eisno attacked him. After subduing Superman he then tried to attack the Daily Planet but Kelex transported both him and Superman to the Phantom Zone where Superman kept trying to comunicate but Utopica just kept fighting.[2] Their fight was interrupted by Phantom King, who had seen their battle but despite him trying to help Eisno he attacked the stranger and then resumed his assault on Superman who instead run away and kept trying to comunicate with Eisno, who told him that he was Synmar before attacking again. Superman then tried to calm him by opening a portal back to Earth to gain his trust and asked him to show why he was enraged, Eisno led him to the Synmar system where Superman found himself weakened under an orange sun. Now able to comunicate Synmar told him that he was there to be punished.[3]
Eisno retreated back to the planet where be confronted two fellow Synmar who accused him of treason and killed them, he was then attacked by the military who valiantly attacked him before being defeated before being reinforced by Superman, who had been given an armor by the president who restored his powers. Superman proceeded to battle Eisno and defeated him but before he had a chance to do anything the United Planet Brigade showed up and took him under custody.[4]
United Order
After being arrested he was brought to the United Planets to be judged for his crimes but he escaped before being put on trial and traveled to Earth to have his revenge on Superman.[5]
He attacked the Hall of Justice where the Justice League retaliated and tried to take the battle away from a populated area but he quickly recovered and attacked once again the Hall of Justice demolishing it.[6]
After being attacked by Hippolyta he contacted his people and offered Earth in exchange for a pardon but Superman interrupted him before Black Adam attacked him while he was distracted. Meanwhile several reserve members of the Justice League and the United Planet Brigade arrived on the scene.[7]
Synmar kept battling the combined might of the Justice League and the United Planet Brigade until Batman noticed than Synmar's power grew the more damage he suffered. Batman recovered the Phantom Zone Projector and gave Synmar Utopica a last chance to surrender but he attacked nonetheless and was transported to the Phantom Zone. Superman then sent an hologram of himself to the Zone and rebuked Synmar for wasting all of his power and ruining his planet.[8]
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Unique Physiology: Eisno was enhanced by his people to become Synmar Utopica, a being to fight Superman himself, through a process that used resources from his entire planet to grant him his levels of power.[1] Superman believes that he is an immense threat to the United Planets and Justice League, putting him on the same level as the tyrant Mongul.[8]
- Flight: Synmar Utopica can fly at great speeds.[1]
- Self-Sustenance: Synmar Utopica can operate in open space without any discomfort.[2]
- Photokinesis: All Synmar seem to be able to project an energy halo around themselves and emit light from various parts of their body.[1]
- Energy Projection: Synmar Utopica can discharge the light emitted by his body in extremely powerful ways. His blasts have been able to briefly knock out Kryptonians like Superman[2] and Phantom King[3] upon their respective first encounters and incinerate common Synmars.[4] He can also emit powerful blasts from his entire body capable of repelling the entire Justice League.[6]
- Superhuman Strength: Synmar Utopica has a nigh-limitless level of strength comparable to that of Superman himself.[3] He has proven strong enough to quickly overpower even Hippolyta, the queen of the Amazons.[7]
- Superhuman Stamina: Synmar Utopica can fight for prolonged periods of time without showing any sign of getting tired.[4]
- Invulnerability: Synmar Utopica is invulnerable to all forms of damage. He has taken blows and blasts of heat vision from Superman with almost no damage.[3] He was almost undamaged by Hippolyta's amazon sword and Hawkgirl nth metal mace and the Batplane's missiles failed to even faze him.[6] He took a full power punch from Hippolyta with only a bloody lip and also survived several blows and electric attacks from Black Adam although prolonged contact with his magical lighting was able to knock him down.[7]
- Energy Absorption: Synmar Utopica can absorb the energy of incoming attacks to strengthen himself, making him more powerful the longer he fights.
