The real Dynamic Duo soon alert the people about the phony crime-fighters and the crooks become aware of their actions. They come up with the idea of using some of the original gadgets used by Batman, and for this purpose, they contact a criminal who managed to snatch away the Utility Belt from the Caped Crusader a few days ago. The man provides the crooks a faithful replica of the Utility Belt so they can avoid suspicion and continue impersonating the heroes. However, it is then revealed that the impostors are in fact the real Batman and Robin and that they created this hoax in order to get the man who had taken the Utility Belt, and prevent him from eventually discovering Bruce Wayne's fingerprints on the belt.
