Synopsis for "Easy Money"

Eddie and Brenda returned to their old neighborhood, looking for Denton, when they learned from 'Mazing Man that he and K.P. were both gone. 'Mazing Man planned to leave them behind in order to cash in a check before he received the entry form for the Publisher's Reading House sweepstakes from the mailman Mr. Wolinski and left to cash in his check, leaving Eddie and Brenda behind. Moments later, Guido contemplated how 'Mazing Man was able to put a high amount of money in the bank. Guido and Brenda decided to find out for themselves, although Eddie was not interested.

The trio tailed 'Mazing Man, watching him perform various actions and interact with various individuals while formulating theories about how he acquired his money. As they saw 'Mazing Man headed for South Richmond Savings And Loan, Brenda urged Eddie, who worked there, to find out where the check came from. While 'Mazing Man talked to a teller, Eddie attempted to look at the check, but was caught by Mr. Vanderplatz, who sent him away, as he was not authorized behind the teller's windows. Afterwards, Eddie reported his failure to Brenda and Guido and much to his surprise, they insisted that he was overreacting.

Eddie and Brenda returned to Denton's apartment, where they both received mail from Mr. Wolinski with Eddie's being an entry form for the Publisher's Reading House sweepstakes. Eddie discarded the form, claiming that "real people do not win these things."

Synopsis for "Occupations"

After dinner, Denton and K.P. returned to their apartment, where they were surprised by Eddie, Brenda, and 'Mazing Man. Eddie asked Denton about the "world of comics", which the latter responded with telling the story of how he was paid twenty-four dollars a week for his script for Splendiddog. When Brenda attempted to use the restroom, 'Mazing Man blocked her way and claimed that it was occupied.

K.P. got upset when Guido placed his shoe on her table and he claimed that "wasn't the tune she was playing this morning." She explained that she and Maze had gone to the Emerald Acres mall to buy him a new pair of shoes and encountered Guido. Eddie attempted to use the restroom, but 'Mazing Man blocked his way, as well, claiming that it was occupied again. According to K.P., who had continued her story, she and Maze went to another shoe store, where Guido had also worked. After Guido had sprayed beer onto Denton's face, the latter attempted to enter the restroom, but was blocked by Maze, who claimed that the lock was broken.

After wiping the beer off of the floor, K.P. walked towards the restroom, but Maze blocked her and claimed that it was occupied. Then, K.P., Eddie, Brenda, and Denton all became suspicious and confronted Maze, distracting him and allowing Guido to use the restroom after drinking his beer. 'Mazing Man explained that he was in the fur business and was keeping skunks in the restroom, but after closing the door, Guido mistook them for cats.
