The objective of the Gemini V mission was to evaluate rendezvous Guidance and Navigation (G&N) system with the radar evaluation pod (REP), and to evaluate the effects of an eight day mission on equipment and the crew. The REP rendezvous was canceled after problems developed with the fuel cell.
