Cars are the vehicles used in Crash Tag Team Racing, listed in order of character selection with 29 total being featured in the game. Cars in-race can clash and merge together as one. Each character has 3 cars, with the exception of Crash, Neo Cortex, Pasadena, Crunch, and Nina having each an extra car from the PS2 and the PSP consoles. These cars can be unlocked by linking both versions together.
Crash Bandicoot[]
Trikee[]
The Trikee is Crash's tier 1 car. It is playable from the start in both Adventure and Multiplayer modes in any version of the game except for the PlayStation Portable version. The car is orange with three wheels, in the likeness of a trike. It can be imported into the PlayStation Portable version as an exclusive car. It returns as a kart body option in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and re-appears as a selectable vehicle in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2. Its design is based on the Campagna T-Rex three-wheeled vehicle, the only one in the game. In certain game trailers, it features a different design.
Retro Prime[]
Retro Prime is Crash's tier 1 car in the PlayStation Portable version of Crash Tag Team Racing, where it is available from the start of both Adventure Mode and Multiplayer Mode. It is left unnamed in the PSP version of the game, where it appears, but is called the "Six-Pipes" in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, where it appears as a kart body option. It can be imported into the PlayStation 2 version of Crash Tag Team Racing as an exclusive car. It is an orange and burgundy colored hot-rod, with a yellow wind-screen and small grill at the front. It sports a set of six exhausts at the front with three on each side above the front wheel. The wheels at the front are smaller than those at the rear, and the burgundy paint job gives the car a flame decal design.

- This car can be seen in the beta trailer, only driven by Pasadena.
Yellow Horde[]
Crash's Tier 2 car for all consoles. It can be unlocked in adventure mode by collecting all the eggs for Stew. This car is yellow with white stripes.
- This car reappears in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D, only red instead of yellow.
- This car is driven by Yaya Panda in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2.
- This car can be seen by the entrance of the Extinction Party arena in Tyrannosaurus Wrecks, being demolished by an animatronic dinosaur skeleton.
- Crash was driving this car in the commercial ad.
- This car resembles the 2005 Ford Mustang V6, only smaller.
Crikey[]
The Crikey is Crash's tier 3 car in Crash Tag Team Racing. It is unlocked by giving 3 crystals to Chick Gizzard Lips in the Midway. It resembles an off-road vehicle, with a spare wheel on the bonnet and a zebra-style paint job.
- This car is driven by Tiny in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2.
- This car appears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a playable kart, albeit with some design changes, the most noticeable difference being the removal of the tire on the bonnet, which has now been moved to the back of the kart.
Dr. Neo Cortex[]
Imperium[]
The Imperium is Neo Cortex's tier 1 car in Crash Tag Team Racing. It is playable from the start in both adventure and multiplayer modes, and its appearance is that of an old gen race car, red with black stripes and front wheels that are smaller than the rear's. On the front is a plate with the number "0.1", and on the rear wing "CRTX" is written on each side. It has three tailpipes at the back.
- This car is driven once again by Cortex in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D.
- This car appears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a kart body, albeit with a few design changes, namely the seat which is now round.
The Deadinator[]
The Deadinator is Neo Cortex's tier 2 car in Crash Tag Team Racing. It is unlocked in Adventure Mode by bringing Cortex gears to his car from Happily Ever Faster. The car is purple with white flames painted on it, and a giant supercharge sticking out of the bonnet. It can be imported into the PlayStation Portable version as an exclusive car.
- This car is driven once again by Cortex in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2.
- Cortex drives this car in the opening cutscene, with Nina, clashed with N-Gin, who is shooting at the Bandicoots.
- This car appears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a playable kart, albeit with some minor design changes and a name change to simply "Deadinator".
Futurosity[]
The Futurosity is Neo Cortex's tier 2 car in the PSP version of Crash Tag Team Racing, replacing The Deadinator. The car is lavender, has a light blue brain ornament on the front, and has a scuba suit in the back.
- This car reappears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a playable kart, albeit with some minor changes and is named "Nautilus".
Probulot 2000[]
Neo Cortex's Tier 3 car for all consoles. It is unlocked in adventure mode by giving Cortex 3 Power Crystals. The car is grayish blue with blue outlines and has hoverwheels.
- The car is styled after the Delorean Time Machine from the Back to the Future series.
- It returns in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a playable kart, albeit with some minor design changes to make it more closely resemble the time machine mentioned above.
Pasadena O'Possum[]

Pasadena's Tier 1 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving Pasadena 1 Power Crystal. The car is blue with a haystack in the back.
Bad Girl[]
Pasadena's Tier 2 car for the PS2/Gamecube/XBox consoles. It is unlocked by bringing her the starter from Happily Ever Faster. The car is purple with yellow and white outlines. It can be imported into the PSP as an exclusive car.
- This car is driven by Ripper Roo in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D.
- This car is driven by Coco in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2.
The Ruckus[]
Pasadena's Tier 2 car in the PSP version. It has the same unlock requirements as the Bad Girl. It is unlocked by bringing Pasadena the starter from Happily Ever Faster. It is a pink car with exhausts at the side, an air intake on the bonnet and a yellow star painted on the front. As with the other PSP cars, it does not have a proper name.
- Pasadena can be seen driving this car in an early trailer for the game, as well as in the E3 demo, and a few other demos.
- This car appears in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a kart body, albeit with some minor design changes and renamed to "Roadster".
Le Chaux[]
Pasadena's Tier 3 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving Pasadena 3500 coins. It is yellow with blue outlines and a blue spoiler on the back.

Crunch's Tier 1 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving Crunch 2500 coins. The car is green with tank wheels on its backside. Its front fascia bears a slight resemblance to the Hummer H2.

Overcompensator[]
Crunch's Tier 2 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving Crunch 3000 coins. The car is red with big wheels, in the likeness of a monster truck, and has milk bottles in the back.
- This car is driven by Dingodile in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D.
- This is the only tier 2 car that is in the Armored category; others were either Speed or Handling.
Bone Machine[]
Crunch's Tier 3 car for the non-PSP versions of the game. It is unlocked by giving Crunch 3500 coins. The car is a prehistoric dinosaur-like head bone on wheels.

Crunch's Tier 3 car for the PSP console. It replaces the Bone Machine and has the same unlock requirements. The car has a grey-greenish color with tank wheels. It can be imported into the PS2 as an exclusive car.

Coco's Tier 1 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by bringing her the Fusion Unit from Mystery Island. The car is plain and pink. The car is pink with a double grill at the front. It is small and old in design, hence its name.
- This car is driven once again by Coco in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D.
- It returns in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled as a kart body, albeit with a differently-colored paint and a reworked front end, including eyelashes above the lights.
Bandibuggy[]
Coco's Tier 2 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by bringing her the Modulator from Happily Ever Faster. It is a green dune buggy with large exhausts at the side.

Coco's Tier 3 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving Coco 3 Power Crystals. It is a purple wooden cartwheel with yellow outlines.

Nina's Tier 1 car. It is unlocked by bringing her the keys from Mystery Island. In return, she also gives Crash a Power Crystal. The car is red, has candles on the sides, and an organ on the front side.
- It returns in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled under a different name, "Phantom", and a slightly altered design, such as a sharper front.
Tweenage Wasteland[]
Nina's Tier 1 car for the PSP console. It replaces the Organ Grinder and has the same unlock requirements. It is white with yellow outlines and has tank wheels.
- Nina is seen driving this car in an early trailer.
- It returns in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2, once again driven by Nina, but with the Angsterator's color scheme.
Angsterator[]
Nina's Tier 2 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by unlocking the Part-Timer costume in Tyrannosaurus Wrecks. The car is purple and is in the likeness of a limousine.
Slave Driver[]
Nina's Tier 3 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving her 3500 coins. In return, she also gives Crash a Power Crystal. The car is orange and styled after a slave boat.
Dr. N. Gin[]
Extreme Surplus[]
N-Gin's Tier 1 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by bringing him Plutonium from Mystery Island. In return, he also gives Crash some coins. The car is green with tank wheels on its sides.
Junkulon Prime[]
N-Gin's Tier 2 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by unlocking the Cyborg Idol costume in Happily Ever Faster. The car is olive green and grey, and is the combined form of damaged sections of a submarine and a plane welded together.
Doom Buggy[]
N. Gin's Tier 3 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by bringing him slippers from Tyrannosaurus Wrecks. In return, he also gives Crash coins. It is in a grayish-blue color and resembles a space buggy.
- This car is driven once again by N. Gin in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2.
- In the beta version, this originally was Crash's car.

Der Pickle[]
Von Clutch's Tier 2 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving him 3000 coins. The car is lime green with a yellow flame painted on the front side, has metal-plated wings on the sides, and the number 8.
- This car is driven by Polar in Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D.
Pressurizer[]
Von Clutch's Tier 3 car for all consoles. It is unlocked by giving him 3 Power Crystals. In return, he gives Crash some coins. The car is yellow green and resembles a pressurized nitrogen bottle.

Toy Block Car[]
This car is a toy block on four different colored toy wheels which seems to have no steering wheel or seat. It can be unlocked for everyone by entering Circle, Circle, Triangle, Square in main menu. Other cars cannot be used when it is unlocked but it does not stay unlocked permanently. A similar vehicle is also found in Radical Entertainment's other driving games, The Simpsons: Hit and Run and The Simpsons: Road Rage.
CRster[]
This car sports three wheels and is bright orange with two red vertical stripes running over the top of the body, a shaker scoop on top of the hood, and three long exhaust pipes emerging from ripped holes on each side of the car. This appears to be the Trikee's original design, and ultimately went unused.
testcar[]
This car is a yellow cabriolet with an orange stripe on its hood. Just like the CRster, it went unused, in spite of its usage in promotional material.
- It makes a full appearance in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled under the name "Cabrio".
