[edit]Copyright status: File:Yemeni socialist party logo.svg
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Yemeni socialist party logo.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |

File:ImFokenLIVID.png has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Wikimedia Commons does not accept derivative works of non-free works such as File:Alcona County Building (Google Maps).png. It only accepts free content, which is images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Reproductions of copyrighted works are also subject to the same copyright, and therefore this file must unfortunately be considered non-free. For more information, please read Commons:Derivative works and Commons:Freedom of panorama. You can ask questions about Commons policies in Commons:Help desk.
The file you added has been deleted. If you believe that this file was not a derivative work of a non-free work, you may request undeletion.

Copyright violations
[edit]
Hello WeaponizingArchitecture.
You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful. This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions. |

- Oppose - COM:BP asks an understanding of the issue and a credible commitment to discontinue. Neither are on offer here; verily, user even asks "How is this file not free" regarding a blatant COM:NETCOPYVIO. One wonders what part of "everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here" (bold in original), which appeared above five times (!!!) prior to upload, was unclear. Эlcobbola talk 18:42, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- I don’t think it’s constructive to be passive aggressive about this (referring to the “one wonders” portion) It’s an honest mistake, i won’t do it again. Thanks. WeaponizingArchitecture (talk) 21:45, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Pointing out that you've ignored clear guidance placed directly in front of you is not aggression, passive or otherwise. The sheer volume of notices ignored--to say nothing of also ignoring the guidance of the UploadWizard--suggests this is not a mistake, but willful ignorance. Again, COM:BP asks an understanding of the issue and a credible commitment to discontinue. Neither are on offer here. Эlcobbola talk 21:58, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- Ae you referring to this? Because you never told me what copyrighted files I uploaded in that instance. I would seriously like to know what it was. If it is, then how am I supposed to know when you never told me what file in that instance was copyrighted. WeaponizingArchitecture (talk)

Flag of Kuban
[edit]Hello! You have reverted my elites. Currently the middle part is pink while it should be raspberry. I used some standard Pantone colors because it is hard to find exactly what shades ware used 100 years ago. Alternatively, we can use those so-called Web-safe colors. #903 is for raspberry. Blue and green can be remained unchanged because they follow the description already. – Ιγκόρ (talk) 11:03, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- From what ive gathered "Pink" was used on the flag due to its association with the cossacks WeaponizingArchitecture (talk) 03:46, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- In the Cossack tradition raspberry is used, not pink. – 04:59, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Even then the color you are using is maroon and not raspberry. WeaponizingArchitecture (talk) 12:36, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- Not exactly. Maroon is defined as #800 in X11, or #600 if a Web-safe color is required. – Ιγκόρ (talk) 12:55, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- This isnt something your average reader will understand, they will easily interperet this VERY dark shade of red as "Maroon" regardless of if it's listed as an actual websafe color. WeaponizingArchitecture (talk) 13:48, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- It's also worth mentioning that the flag of Krasnodar Krai uses the previous shade of pinkish-red (or light raspberry i guess). Keep in mind this flag is identical to that of Kuban but with an emblem on it (here's my source) WeaponizingArchitecture (talk) 13:52, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
