فارسی: طراحی شهری فرایند طراحی و شکل دهی خصوصیات فیزیکی شهرها، شهرک‌ها و روستاها و برنامه‌ریزی برای ارائه خدمات شهری به ساکنان و بازدیدکنندگان است. اگرچه این گرایش نسبت به معماری با موضوعاتی در مقیاس بزرگتر سرو کار دارد، اما نمی‌توان آن را به عنوان یک زمینه تحقیق و طراحی کاملاً جدا از هم در نظر گرفت، زیرا کیفیت یکی به کیفیت دیگری بستگی دارد.
English: Urban design is an approach to the design of buildings and the spaces between them that focuses on specific design processes and outcomes.
