[edit]DescriptionUSS Cowie (DD-632) off Boston in June 1945.jpg |
The U.S. Navy destroyer USS Cowie (DD-632) off the Boston Navy Yard, Massachusetts (USA), on 16 June 1945. Note: the photo was taken earlier, as Cowie entered the Boston Navy Yard on 5 May 1945 for conversion to a high-speed minesweeper. She was reclassified DMS-39 on 30 May 1945 and sailed from Boston on 24 June 1945. Since her No.4 127 mm turret is still aboard, this photo was taken before her conversion. |
