Description
English: The plate shows the front view of a table sculpture designed for the banquet hosted by Senator Francesco Ratta in Bologna on February 28, 1693. The statuette is of a standing nude in a contrapposto stance, who is crowned with laurel, Apollo's attribute, but who assumes the formalized poses associated with Venus.
Italiano: Trionfo di Giacomo Maria Giovannini e Giovanni Battista Zaccarini per il convito fatto dall'illustrissimo signor senatore Francesco Ratta il 28 febraio 1693 a Bologna. La statuetta è un nudo in piedi in una posizione contrapposta, che è coronato d'alloro, l'attributo di Apollo, ma che assume le pose formalizzate associate a Venere.
