Deutsch: Das Fischauge bezeichnet in der Fotografie ein spezielles Objektiv, das mit der dazu nötigen Verzeichnung ein komplettes Gesichtsfeld abbilden kann. Im Gegensatz zu konventionellen Nicht-Fischaugen-Objektiven, die eine senkrecht zur optischen Achse stehende Objektebene proportional abbilden (gnomonische Projektionsweise, siehe unten: Abbildungsfunktionen), bilden Fischaugenobjektive eine Hemisphäre oder mehr, mit deutlichen aber nicht übermäßigen Verzerrungen, auf der Bildebene ab.
Русский: Ры́бий гла́з— разновидность сверхширокоугольных объективов с целенаправленно увеличенной дисторсией, другое название дисторси́рующий (или «дисторзирующий») объектив. От обычных (ортоскопических) короткофокусных объективов отличается ярко выраженной бочкообразной дисторсией, позволяющей отображать пространство и предметы при помощи азимутальной, ортографической или стереографической проекций, в зависимости от конкретной оптической конструкции. За счёт сильных искажений угловое поле «рыбьего глаза» может достигать 180° или даже превышать эту величину, что недоступно для ортоскопической оптики, реализующей гномоническую проекцию окружающего пространства.
Svenska: Fiskögeobjektiv eller fisheye är ett vidvinkelobjektiv som används till kameror och som bidrar till en cirkulär bild. Extrema vidvinklar med en bildvinkel på cirka 220 grader och okorrigerad s.k. tunnformig distorsion tillåter en stark optisk distorsion där bilden blir en sfärisk form. I motsats så strävar ett vanligt vidvinkelobjektiv efter att räta ut bilden och förhindra distorsion.
Det finns huvudsakligen två sorters fiskögeobjektiv, en sort tecknar ut en cirkulär bild och därmed lämnar svarta hörn på bilden medan en annan sort fyller hela bildytan men med kraftig distorsion som följd. De objektiv som presenterar en cirkulär bild har en kortare brännvidd än de som fyller upp hela bildrutan.
