Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Red-legged Partridge chicks (Alectoris rufa) In 1790 thousands of chicks were reared from eggs imported from France, and the bird is still sometimes known as the French partridge. Further imports occurred in the 19th and 20th centuries, and today the red-leg outnumbers the native species.
