Opis vrste

D.t.14-19 cm. Gnezdeći areal obuhvata mediteransku Evropu, severnu Afriku, Malu Aziju, veliki deo Bliskog Istoka, centralne i istočne Azije. Selica je. Zimu provodi u podsaharskoj Africi i južnoj Aziji. Staništa su joj pretežno klisure, kanjoni i doline u pobrđu i brdsko-planinskim predelima u mediteranskim, submediteranskim i stepskim područjima. Redovno se gnezdi u ljudskim naseljima i na njihovim obodima. Gnezda od blata gradi pod tavanicama kuća, pod mostovima ili u potkapinama stena. Hrani se malim insektima koje lovi u letu. U Srbiji je redovna gnezdarica brdsko-planinskog dela zemlje, čija se populacija procenjuje na gnezdećih 600-1.000 parova (Puzović et al 2003).
