Description
English: Horace Greeley stands on a chair addressing the other members of the Cincinnati Convention of the Liberal Republicans. Their names are inscribed on papers before each of them. Clockwise from Greeley, they are: Francis P. Blair Jr., Carl Schurz, Gratz Brown, Jefferson Davis, Horatio Seymour, Andrew Johnson, Fernando Wood, Thomas W. Tipton, David Davis, George F. Train, Reuben Fenton, Lyman Trumbull. Based on an illustration of Charles Dickens' The Pickwick Club by R. Seymour.
