For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme.
Durchburch in den Ardennen

Mit "Hurra!" brechen deutsche Grenadiere gegen einen feindlichen Einbruchskeil, der sie vorübergehend von ihrer Nachbareinheit trennte, vor. Im Laufen feuern sie ihre Maschinenpistolen und LMGs ab. Der Feind weicht vor dieser Zusammenballung von Kraft und letztem Einsatz zurück, und nach kurzer Zeit gelingt nach geringen Verlusten dem Regiment der Durchburch. Die Verbindung zu den Nachbareinheiten ist wieder hergestellt.
