Mehling of command of the 14th Coast Guard District during a change of command ceremony at Base Support Unit, Honolulu, Oct. 22, 2010. Mehling has served as the district commander since May 2010 and is leaving to assume the duties as Director of Operations at the Coast Guard's Atlantic Area in Portsmouth, Va.
