This file needs permission sent in. The state of Ohio does not release its images under a CC license and there is no way to confirm that JohnTuturrosSliderule is in fact the photographer or representative of the author for this image. Also nominating File:RMD-Official-Headshot (cropped).jpg, as well. (image source) Corky 00:02, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am a communications staff member for Mike DeWine who uploaded image on behalf of Ohio Attorney General's office in my professional capacity. Photograph was taken and produced by Ohio Attorney general's office, and that information was provided at time of upload. Image is also a public record pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 149.43. Will be submitting documentation from our attorney shortly. Statement that State of Ohio does not release specific images under CC license is inaccurate and unsourced. @JohnTuturrosSliderule: Just a heads up, you might need to verify the licensing permission for this image through the OTRS process. Woko Sapien (talk) 18:28, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@JohnTuturrosSliderule: Thank you. I am unaware of a law that Ohio has like Florida or California where the images are released under CC. Unless the websites specifically say that they are under a CC license, we have to assume that they are copyrighted.
@Corkythehornetfan: We are in the process of getting the legal submissions in order. As an aside, the image source page you cited was a page that welcomes media organizations to download the image for free and fair use. If there is an easier way to cite this situation, which I am sure is not uncommon for public officials, I would be appreciative if it could be referenced and pointed out for future use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnTuturrosSliderule (talk • contribs) 15:03, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A release has just been submitted by the staff photographer who created the image. Dan Tierney 15:59, 15 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
