This photo is my photo of myself, which I own and so I would imagine that I have permission to post it wherever and whenever I want! 2603:7000:A341:CEE6:C4B8:CB5:8D5D:691C 15:01, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Who is the photographer? --Hammersoft (talk) 23:34, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Following the beginning of this deletion request, the uploader uploaded another version of this file at File:Carlo Alvaro.jpg. I am adding that file to this request as they are essentially identical. --Hammersoft (talk) 01:57, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion has occurred at the uploader's talk page regarding this image. The uploader has claimed the image was taken by his wife. Further, the uploader has indicated they have followed the instructions at Commons:Volunteer_Response_Team#If_you_are_NOT_the_copyright_holder, and has indicated they have emailed the permission request. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:02, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

With respect to the uploader, I find the claims this was taken by his wife to likely be inaccurate. Or, if accurate, the person was in the employ of St. Joseph's University, in which case the copyrights are held by the university. The reason I find this claim to likely be inaccurate is that this photo is, in setting, effectively identical to a number of other photographs of faculty/staff on the university's website. Please observe:

In all cases, these images have a matte gray background and have a lighting source above and to the left of the subject. Thus, I think it unlikely the subject's wife holds copyright to the images here listed for deletion, nor does the uploader hold rights. --Hammersoft (talk) 02:02, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: per nomination, needs VRT permission from the university. --Abzeronow (talk) 18:24, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
