English: Alonso was an iron-hulled four-masted barque built by Russell & Co, Port Glasgow in 1888 as Tinto Hill for J.R. Dickson & Co., Glasgow. Dimensions: 86,27×12,31×7,46 meters [283'1"×40'5"×24'6"]. Tonnages: 2,144 GRT and 2,067 NRT. Rigged with royal sails over double top and single topgallant sails. 1911 sold to A/S Bas (N.T. Nielsen-Alonso), Sandefjord, and renamed Alonso. Renamed Veirland in 1926. Scrapped in Denmark in 1927.[1][2][3]
