Summary
editDescriptionViaduct, Calstock.jpg |
English: Calstock and the River Tamar shortly after the railway viaduct was built. The sidings on the quayside are from the old East Cornwall Mineral Railway. The track in the foreground is the rope-worked incline that their wagons were worked down from the mines. This was superseded by the wagon lift attached to the viaduct but the lower portion was retained to service a lime kiln. The paddle steamer is bringing day trippers up from Plymouth or Devonport. |
