While this occurred at the start of the ceremony, at the end of the gala, it was the director himself who collected the Award for Best Film from the hands of Marisa Paredes at the 28th edition of these trophies. His movie, which screened at Cannes, has proven to be a box-office hit in Spain (having raked in more than €3 million), recently won an award from the Spanish Cinema Federation, and is in the running for a whopping ten Feroz Awards and 17 Goyas.
