Von Trier’s Nymphomaniac leads the race for Denmark’s Roberts

film profile]: Director’s Cut is the frontrunner for Denmark’s Robert Awards, which the Danish Film Academy will announce for the 31st time on 1 February at Copenhagen’s Tivoli Hotel and Congress Centre. Von Trier’s own edit of the Charlotte Gainsbourg and Stellan Skarsgård starrer has been nominated in 16 categories, including Best Film and Best Director.
“Nineteen features in the awards race demonstrate a film year of variety and quality – there is much to celebrate in Danish film and TV,” said Academy chairman Kim Magnusson. Best Danish Film will be chosen from among Nymphomaniac: Director’s Cut, Mikkel Nørgaard’s The Absent One [+see also:
