Introduction Pokémon Silver N/A Maple notices that Spruce's jacket is covered in mud and asks him what happened. He explains that he'd noticed a truck parked outside the building and crawled under it in search of rare Pokémon. Perplexed, Maple asked where he got the idea to do that, to which he replies by saying it was "a thing he'd heard once".
Maple then introduces the feature Pokémon, Mew, mentioning that its DNA is said to contain the genetic codes of all Pokémon. Spruce is astonished it's able to fit so much code in such a little body, choosing to believe that Mew is able to do this through a similar process to nanotechnology, a smartwatch or a Game Boy micro as a dumbfounded Maple ignores him, opting instead to start the show.

The hosts mention Mew's small stature of 1'04" (0.4 m). However, Spruce notes that despite Mew's small size, it's an extremely powerful Pokémon and has had a massive influence on the Pokémon world. Maple then mentions that Mew is incredibly rare - so rare, in fact, that it will only appear to those who are pure of heart. Spruce boldly declares he's pure of heart. Maple admires his confidence, though she concedes he has a kind soul. She describes Mew's physical characteristics, noting that it has a similar appearance to real-world felines. The Pokédex states that if you look at Mew through a microscope, you can see fine and delicate hairs. Both hosts conclude that Mew is adorable.

Spruce mentions that for the most part, Mew has only been made available through special events held by The Pokémon Company or Nintendo. The hosts then dive into Mew's origin - specifically, the research journals in the Pokémon Mansion in the Kanto games. They go on to describe how researchers had discovered a new Pokémon deep in the jungle, giving it the name Mew. They then were able to create a new Pokémon from Mew, named Mewtwo. Maple decides to save the rest of the story for another time to keep their focus on Mew, though Spruce states that things "go a little south" for the scientists. Spruce then asks Maple if she's ever obtained Mew, to which she replies that she had waited in line at the mall to obtain one in Pokémon Red and Blue, but that more recently she had obtained hers in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond's Floaroma Town, where a Mew can be obtained if the player has saved data for Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu or Eevee. Spruce explains that he got his via Mystery Gift in Pokémon Sword and Shield after redeeming a serial code from his Poké Ball Plus. Suddenly, Spruce says the name the name Trevor under his breath, and explains to a confused Maple that he'd told a young Spruce during recess that a Mew was hiding under a truck on the docks in Vermilion City, and that he'd spent hours trying to get under the truck. However, in FireRed and LeafGreen, the player can find a hidden Lava Cookie in the same area.
Maple explains that Mew is incredibly powerful and that its stats are evenly distributed. Additionally, she explains Mew's ability Synchronize, which can pass status effects onto the opponent. Mew can learn every Technical Machine, Hidden Machine, and nearly every Tutor move, which Spruce states is over 200 unique moves. He theorizes that Mew is able to learn so many moves thanks to it having the genetic code of every Pokémon. Maple thinks he's onto something, citing a Pokédex entry that states that Mew is said to be the ancestor of every Pokémon. Maple says that Mew's versatility allows it to be whatever its Trainer wants it to be, so long as they keep in mind its weaknesses to Ghost, Dark and Bug-types. Spruce interjects by saying a Mew's worst nightmare is Gym Leader Bugsy, and to never underestimate a guy with short-shorts and a net.
The hosts then briefly cover Mew's prowess in Pokémon UNITE, with its passive ability Synchronize allowing it to reset its originally selected moves mid-match so that it can make room for new ones.
