Shadow the Hedgehog is a non-playable Sonic the Hedgehog character in LEGO Dimensions who is later released as a physical minifigure in 2024.
Background[]
Shadow the Hedgehog is a character from video game franchise Sonic the Hedgehog, who first appeared in a game Sonic Adventure 2. Shadow was created by Professor Gerald Robotnik, Dr. Eggman's grandfather onboard the Space Colony Ark, as the Ultimate Life Form. Soon after Shadow's creation the military forces attacked Ark and captured the hedgehog.
50 years later, Dr. Eggman unwillingly released Shadow and a hedgehog agreed to help him with Eggman's plans. Soon Shadow realized what was he doing and then sacrificed himself to help Sonic the Hedgehog. However, he managed to survive but lost his memory.
Shadow the Hedgehog then appeared in more Sonic games, in most of them is shown how Shadow is restoring his memory.
LEGO Dimensions[]
In LEGO Dimensions Shadow plays a minor role. He is first shown as one of Sonic's friends, imprisoned by Dr. Eggman and then quickly released by Sonic. He is shown later in the rift alongside other Sonic's friends.
After clearing all Sonic the Hedgehog missions, Shadow is available as a quest giver. He asks a player to help him arrange the ultimate flowers and, after a task is completed, awards a player with Golden Brick.
