- This was animated by Arc Productions, who are known for animating Thomas the Tank Engine and Friends (since Season 17), and animating VeggieTales episodes from 2004-2008.
- Many of the minifigure designs remain the same as they appear in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes theme. Some characters, including Abomination, Red Skull, Wizard, Falcon, Green Goblin, Power Man, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, are based on their design in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. Thor and Stan Lee both have different designs then in-game or their physical figures (Stan does not have a physical figure).
- Thor has a different face and his helmet. Although at the end of episode 5 he has his normal variant.
- The Guardians of the Galaxy poster on the Garden State Parkway may have been a hint about the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy movie.
- Stan Lee makes two cameos as a hot dog/snack vendor.
- Spider-Man acts like a computer nerd/teenager when he mentions "angst" and the "i can haz" meme.
