Jötunheimr
Jǫtunheimr (Old Norse: [ˈjɔtonˌhɛimz̠]; often anglicized as Jotunheim) is one of the Nine Realms of Norse cosmology, separated from Miðgarðr by high mountains. It is the homeworld of the Jǫtnar (Frost giants). From Jötunheimr, the giants menace the humans in Miðgarðr and the gods in Ásgarðr. The river Ifingr (Old Norse, Ífingr) separates Ásgarðr, the realm of the gods, from Jötunheimr, the land of giants.
