School cakes

A true British classic. My take on the popular old-fashioned School Cake. This simple, fluffy vanilla traybake is topped with icing and lots of colourful sprinkles!

Everyone in the UK remembers the retro School Dinner Cake! A soft and fluffy sponge traybake topped with white icing and coloured sprinkles.

I can hardly believe that my little baby is finishing nursery school to start school after the summer holidays! Where did the time go? I made this cake to say "thank you" to her lovely nursery teacher! This is a 6" carrot cake, decorated with hand modelled sugar models (from fondant icing). All of the decorations are 100% edible.
