For many years now I have been working with the wonderful organization Womens Leadership Forum. They are focus on women's leadership. I was a speaker at their events, and I am also a mentor for the program. In Brazil, I saw a very interesting mentoring program for women called Nós por Elas - Mentoria para Mulheres - IVG and I am indpired by her leader Edna Vasselo Goldoni Several times a year there is a recruitment process for those who want to become a mentee in the program. Interestingly that the program opens on a certain day at 10:00 and closes applications pretty quickly. There are a lot of people who want to get into the program: in the last recruitment there were 4400 applications from all over the country. Those who are selected get free mentoring from other successful women who have made incredible careers in their own businesses or in major organizations. I decided to apply for the first time too, as I was interested in getting support in my integration process in Brazil. But my profile didn't fit the criteria of the program. But my application let me participate in some of their events. Yesterday I went to an interesting workshop about networking. There were about 180 participants. What I remember: 🔹 The brilliant Ana Paula Alfredor gave a very cool talk about the importance of goal setting (gave a detailed list of possible goals) and how it affects the development of contacts 🔹Gave great strategies for tuning in to contacts and approaches for success from growing your network 🔹 Discussed where and how to make contacts. Unusually for me, it was very popular to expand your circle of contacts at the gym (apparently everyone socializes there) and at church. Churches do create a very strong community here, there are many different ones and they form strong contacts between their members. In general, taking into account that in Brazil people easily enter into dialog the point of contact can be absolutely вшааукуте: starting from store and school and finishing simply acquaintance during a walk. And, of course, at the end of the meeting there was practice - networking. In mini-groups we socialized, introduced ourselves. Traditionally, the exchange of contacts in the general chat allowed us to get a lot of new contacts in LinkedIn. It was interesting to learn that some people applied for this program Nos por Elas many times over the course of three years (until they finally got the participation they wanted). In general, I like this program a lot. It seems to me that this is a great initiative, one of those that can also be implemented in any country.

Regulation of Artificial Intelligence: An Urgent Need for Brazil. A recent survey I conducted through IDEIA shows a clear trend: over 70% of Brazilians believe it is essential to establish regulations for artificial intelligence (AI). This survey, reflecting growing awareness of AI's impacts, underscores the urgent need for a robust and effective regulatory framework to ensure the ethical and safe use of this emerging technology. I want to share with you some crucial factors from this research: 1. Protection of User Rights: AI regulation helps protect individual rights, ensuring that their information is used ethically and responsibly. 2. Safe Innovation: Clear standards encourage innovation within safe limits, promoting the development of AI solutions that benefit society without compromising security. 3. Bias Reduction: Establishing rigorous criteria for AI development and implementation can help reduce biases, promoting fairness and equity in automated decisions. An international example of such regulation is the European Union. We can learn a lot from the European Union, which is at the forefront of creating a comprehensive regulatory framework for AI. The EU AI Act sets strict criteria for identifying and mitigating risks associated with complex systems, requiring developers to meet stringent safeguards before bringing their technologies to market. This type of regulation is essential to ensure that AI models are safe and ethical. So, what is the best path for Brazil? I believe that in Brazil, following examples of international legislation can be an effective way to ensure that AI use is beneficial and safe. It is essential for policymakers, companies, and civil society to work together to develop a regulatory framework that reflects Brazilian needs and values. The IDEIA survey, coordinated by me, highlights a clear consensus: AI regulation is necessary not only to mitigate risks but also to foster a responsible innovation environment. Implementing well-defined standards can ensure that AI positively contributes to society, promoting technological advances that respect and protect individual rights. TOC in the Supply Chain Santa Catarina is an inspiring place full of entrepreneurs and prosperity. Many of our most memorable clients and projects come from there. We are now starting a partnership with the Instituto Ápice Educação Executiva (IAExec). We received many good references directly from our clients' executives.
