‼️ And while that may temporarily provide relief… it doesn’t solve the origin of the problem, which is most  likely weak muscles, feet and/or ankles.

Usually shin splints happen when you increase mileage or intensity too much, too soon. But for some people, they’re a regular flare-up.
‌
➡️ I always make sure to incorporate these things in my weekly training:
‌
1. Anterior Tibialis work: increases the strength in the front of your shin (the muscle that runs along the front of the shin bones). When people feel pain in the front, they sometimes think calf raises are the answer, but think BIG! Attack the problem from all angles and see what works for you.
2. Soleus strength: getting The Shins, Shin Splints, Calf Raises, Calf Muscles, Think Big, Too Soon, So Many People, Pain Relief, Tell Me
