I love this for using up all the scraps!!! bitty bits & pieces: A Little Change! 2.5” Scrappy Quilts, Square In A Square Quilt Block, 1930s Quilts, Scrap Basket, Feedsack Quilt, Quilt Book, Scrap Quilt Patterns, Log Cabin Quilts, Colors And Patterns

I've been ready for a little change lately as you can see from my new header and background. My new background is thanks to Aqua Poppy Designs. Isn't it simply darling? She has some really fun and free backgrounds if you're looking for something fresh and new. I haven't jumped in totally and done a major overall but that's definitely in the horizon as I continue to make my blog look more professional and all matchie matchie (can you spell matchie matchie that way? lol). I had so much fun…

Here is a lovely quilt that you will rarely find on the market, a vintage feedsack scrap quilt. Now let me tell you-- I made this one. I used a vintage feedsack top and hand quilted it, using a cotton batting and a Mayhew print (Still can be found if you wanted to make matching pillowcases) on the backing. This has been a labor of love for me, as it is just beautiful, and a pleasure for me to hand quilt. It is charming and is made out of a lovely group of colors and a huge variety of fabrics fro How To Make A Quilt, Scrap Quilt Blocks, Scrap Fabric Quilt, Quilts For Beginners, Top Fabrics, Puffy Quilt, Vintage Baby Quilt, Liberty Quilt, Feedsack Quilt

Sears Roebuck Catalog Vintage, Fabric Advertising, Sewing Printables, Fabric Study, Feedsack Quilt, 1930's Style, Feedsack Fabric, Make Do And Mend, Vintage Material

Here's a page from a 1933 Sears and Roebuck catalog showing different types of fabrics that were available for a few cents per yard. My favorite pieces are the fabric in the upper left hand corner of the page. This second advertisement is for Silk Bubble Crepe fabrics from a 1934 catalog. It is a really nice representation of the colors of silk bubble crepe that were available. Crepe was all the rage for dress fabric during this time.
