Just like that, another ISACA Canberra Conference 2024 has past! The curtains have closed on successful day. It was our biggest conference so far and we had a wonderful time but we also learnt a lot! ISACA Canberra Chapter and SheLeadsTech Canberra had the pleasure of being part of Canberra Institute of Technology’s ICT and Cyber Industry Evening, engaging with students and faculty about the ISACA global and local community.

CyberCX Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, Brand and Policy, Jordan Newnham led a conversation on building trust in our digital future at the recent ISACA Canberra Conference 2024.   "It’s hard to imagine a digital future that doesn’t involve an increasing amount of AI," said Jordan. "So if we’re going to have a conversation about trust in digital, we need to be talking about data, about privacy and about security."   Jordan was joined by industry experts Saeed Tasbihsazan, CTO Defence, Microsoft, Julian Valtas, CISO, ACT Government, and Dr. Amani Ibrahim, Chief Cybersecurity and AI Advisor, Wipro.   CyberCX was proud to be a sponsor of this year's conference, which examined the opportunities and challenges behind The Australian Government's Data and Digital Government Strategy 2030.

Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending a conference where Kersti Eesmaa shared valuable insights from Estonia regarding digital trust, particularly through digital ID initiatives. She emphasized the importance of strong foundations, collaboration, and effective leadership to move forward. While we've made a meaningful start, it's vital that we prioritize cybersecurity from the very beginning. It was also wonderful to connect with new people, candidates, and speakers throughout the event.
