Deakin University and Xefco are working as part of the Recycling and Clean Energy Commercialisation Hub (REACH) to create new technology that will pave the way for sustainable clothing. If successful, the technology in development known as ‘Ausora’ will colour clothing without the need for large quantities of water. This is the first stage of Xefco’s vision for Ausora and can be scaled up for commercial production to create greener supply chains. REACH is funded by the department’s Trailblazer Universities Program. All student loan debts are being reduced! All HELP and VET student loans will be reduced by 20% before 1 June 2025. This means if you have an average student loan debt of $27,600, you’ll see a reduction of around $5,500 on your loan. In addition, the HELP debt repayment system will be changing from 1 July 2025. This means you won’t start paying back your HELP debt until you earn an annual salary of $67,000. The new repayment system also means that people will pay smaller compulsory repayments. These changes are in addition to proposed indexation changes, subject to the passage of legislation. To learn more about the changes: http://srkr.io/6040pNo
