Here we investigate mixing of the low-lying three- and five-quark $Ω$ states with spin-parity quantum numbers $\frac{1}{2}^{-}$ and $\frac{3}{2}^{-}$, employing the quark-antiquark creation triggered by Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) interaction. Wave functions of the three- and five-quark configurations are constructed using the extended constituent quark model, within which the hyperfine interaction between quarks is also taken to be the NJL interaction induced one. Numerical results show that the NJL-induced pair creation results in vanishing mixing between three- and five-quark $Ω$ configurations with spin-parity $1/2^{-}$, but mixing between three- and five-quark $3/2^{-}$ $Ω$ states should be very strong. And the mixing decreases energy of the lowest $3/2^{-}$ $Ω$ state to be $1785\pm25$~MeV, which is lower than energy of the lowest $1/2^{-}$ state in this model. This is consistent with our previous predictions within the instanton-induced quark-antiquark creation model.

Background: Unravelling the role played by nonvalence flavors in baryons is crucial in deepening our comprehension of QCD. Strange quark, a component of the higher Fock states in baryons, is an appropriate tool to investigate nonperturbative mechanisms generated by the pure sea quark.
Purpose: Study the magnitude and the sign of the strangeness magnetic moment $μ_s$ and the magnetic form factor ($G_M^s$) of the proton.
Methods: Within an extended chiral constituent quark model, we investigate contributions from all possible five-quark components to $μ_s$ and $G_M^s (Q^2)$ in the four-vector momentum range $Q^2 \leq 1$ (GeV/c)$^2$. Probability of the strangeness component in the proton wave function is calculated employing the $^3 P_0$ model.
Results: Predictions are obtained without any adjustable parameters. Observables $μ_s$ and $G_M^s (Q^2)$ are found to be small and negative, consistent with the lattice-QCD findings as well as with the latest data released by the PVA4 and HAPPEX Collaborations.
Conclusions: Due to sizeable cancelations among different configurations contributing to the strangeness magnetic moment of the proton, it is indispensable to (i) take into account all relevant five-quark components and include both diagonal and non-diagonal terms, (ii) handle with care the oscillator harmonic parameter $ω_5$ and the ${s \bar s}$ component probability.

Mixing of the low-1/2^{-}$ and $3/2^{-}$ is investigated, employing an instanton-induced quark-antiquark pair creation model, which precludes transitions between $s^{3}$ and $s^{4}\bar{s}$ configurations. Models with hyperfine interactions between quarks of three different kinds, namely, one-gluon-exchange, Goldstone-boson-exchange (GBE) and an instanton-induced interaction (INS) are called OGE, GBE and INS models, respectively. Numerical results show that the instanton-induced pair creation causes strong mixing between the three- and five-quark configurations with spin 3/2, and that this mixing decreases the energy of the lowest spin 3/2 states in all three different hyperfine interaction models to $\sim 1750\pm50$ MeV. On the other hand, transition couplings between $s^3$ and $s^{3}q\bar{q}$ states with spin 1/2 caused by instanton-induced $q\bar{q}$ creation is very small and the resulting mixing of three- and five-quark configurations in the OGE and INS models is negligible, while the mixing of the spin 1/2 states in GBE model is not, but effects of this mixing on energies of mixed states are also very small. Accordingly, the lowest $Ω$ states with negative parity in all three hyperfine interactions models have spin 3/2.

Our numerical results show that the lowest energy states in all the three employed models are lying at $\sim$1800 MeV, about 200 MeV lower than predictions of various quenched three-quark models. The experimental value for the strong decay width, $Γ_{Λ(1405)\to (Σπ)^\circ}=50\pm 2$ MeV, is well reproduced with about 50% of five-quark admixture in the $Λ(1405)$. Important effects due to the configuration mixings among $Λ^{2}_{1}P_{A}$, $Λ^{2}_{8}P_{M}$ and $Λ^{4}_{8}P_{M}$ are found. In addition, transitions between the three- and five-quark components in the baryons turn out to be significant in both radiative and strong decays of the $Λ(1405)$ resonance.

If 20% admixtures of the $qqqq\bar{q}$ components in the proton are assumed, the theoretical value for the axial charge in our model is in good agreement with the empirical value, which can not be well reproduced in the traditional constituent quark model even though the $SU(6) \bigotimes O(3)$ symmetry breaking or relativistic effect is taken into account. We also predict an unity axial charge for $N^{*}(1440)$ with 30% $qqqq\bar{q}$ components constrained by the strong and electromagnetic decays.

While the probability of the former is larger than that of the latter, its coefficient in the axial charge expression is exceptionally small. The magnitude of two of the corresponding coefficients of the $qqqq\bar q$ components are in contrast large and have the opposite sign. This result provides a phenomenological illustration of the recent unquenched lattice calculation result that the axial charge of the N(1535) resonance is very small, if not vanishing \cite{takah}. It is found that with admixture of 5-quark components with a proportion of 20% in the nucleon and 25-65% in the $N^{*}(1535)$ resonance the calculated helicity amplitude $A^{p}_{1/2}$ decreases at the photon point, $Q^{2}=0$ to the empirical range. The $qqqq\bar{q}$ components contain $s\bar s$ pairs, which is consistent with the substantial width for $Nη$ decay of the $N^{*}(1535)$. The best description of the momentum dependence of the empirical helicity amplitudes is obtained by assuming that the $qqqq\bar{q}$ components are more compact than the $qqq$ component. However, this version of extended quark model still does not lead to a satisfactory simultaneous description of both $A^{p}_{1/2}$ and $S^{p}_{1/2}$ although with significant improvement.

The contributions from the $u\bar u$, $d\bar d$ and $s\bar s$ components are given separately. It is shown that addition of $qqqq\bar q$ admixtures to the ground state baryons can improve the overall description of the magnetic moments of the baryon octet and decuplet in the quark model without SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking, beyond that of the different constituent masses of the strange and light-flavor quarks. The explicit flavor (and spin) wave functions for all the possible configurations of the $qqqq\bar q$ components with light and strange $q\bar q$ pairs are given for the baryon and octet and decuplet. Admixtures of ~ 10% of the $qqqq\bar q$ configuration where the flavor-spin symmetry is $[4]_{FS}[22]_F[22]_S$, which is likely to have the lowest energy, in particular reduces the deviation from the empirical values of the magnetic moments of the $Σ^ -$ and the $Ξ^0$ compared with the quark model.

The implications of the empirical signatures for the positivity of the strangeness magnetic moment $μ_s$, and the negativity of the strangeness contribution to the proton spin $Δ_s$, on the possible $uuds\bar s$ configurations of five quarks in the proton are analyzed. The empirical signs for the values of these two observables can only be obtained in configurations where the $uuds$ system is orbitally excited and the $\bar s$ quark is in the ground state. The configurations, in which the $\bar s$ is orbitally excited, which include the conventional $K^+Λ^0$ congfiguration, with the exception of that, in which the $uuds$ component has spin 2, yield negative values for $μ_s$. Here the strangeness spin $Δ_s$, the strangeness magnetic moment $μ_s$ and the axial coupling constant $G_A^s$ are calculated for all possible configurations of the $uuds\bar s$ component of the proton. In the configuration with $[4]_{FS}[22]_F[22]_S$ flavor-spin symmetry, which is likely to have the lowest energy, $μ_s$ is positive and $Δ_s\simeq G_A^s\simeq -1/3μ_s$.
