SIMULATeQCD: A simple multi-GPU lattice code for QCD calculations
Abstract: The rise of exascale supercomputers has fueled competition among GPU vendors, driving lattice QCD developers to write code that supports multiple APIs. Moreover, new developments in algorithms and physics research require frequent updates to existing software. These challenges have to be balanced against constantly changing personnel. At the same time, there is a wide range of applications for HIS… ▽ More

Continuum-extrapolated NNLO Valence PDF of Pion at the Physical Point
Abstract: We present lattice QCD calculations of valence parton distribution function (PDF) of pion employing next-to-next-leading-order (NNLO) perturbative QCD matching. Our calculations are based on three gauge ensembles of 2+1 flavor highly improved staggered quarks and Wilson--Clover valance quarks, corresponding to pion mass $m_π=140$~MeV at a lattice spacing $a=0.076$~fm and $m_π=300$~MeV at… ▽ More

Pion distribution amplitude at the physical point using the leading-twist expansion of the quasi-distribution-amplitude matrix element
Abstract: We present a lattice QCD determination of the distribution amplitude (DA) of the pion and the first few Mellin moments from an analysis of the quasi-DA matrix element within the leading-twist framework. We perform our study on a HISQ ensemble with $a=0.076$ fm lattice spacing with the Wilson-Clover valence quark mass tuned to the physical point. Taylor expansions and Padé approximants for cumulants of conserved charge fluctuations at non-vanishing chemical potentials
Abstract: Using high statistics datasets generated in (2+1)-flavor QCD calculations at finite temperature we present results for low order cumulants of net baryon-number fluctuations at non-zero values of the baryon chemical potential. We calculate Taylor expansions for the pressure (zeroth order cumulant), net baryon-number density (first order cumulant) and the variance of the distribution on net-baryon n… ▽ More

Critical behavior towards the chiral limit at vanishing and non-vanishing chemical potentials
Abstract: We study the scaling behavior of the (2+1)-flavor QCD crossover region towards the chiral limit with smaller-than-physical light quark mass gauge ensembles, generated using the HISQ fermion discretization. At zero chemical potential, we study the fluctuations of conserved charges and their correlations with the chiral condensate, towards the chiral limit. Lattice QCD Determination of the Bjorken-$x$ Dependence of Parton Distribution Functions at Next-to-next-to-leading Order

Continuum extrapolation of Ward identities in $\mathbf{\mathcal{N}=1}$ supersymmetric SU(3) Yang-Mills theory
Abstract: In $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory, regularised on a space-time lattice, in addition to the breaking by the gluino mass term, supersymmetry is broken explicitly by the lattice regulator. In addition to the parameter tuning in the theory, the supersymmetric Ward identities can be used as a tool to investigate lattice artefacts as well as to check whether supersymmetry can be recove… ▽ More

Numerical results for the lightest bound states in $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric SU(3) Yang-Mills theory
Abstract: The physical particles in supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory (SYM) are bound states of gluons and gluinos. We have determined the masses of the lightest bound states in SU(3) $\mathcal{N}=1$ SYM. Our simulations cover a range of different lattice spacings, which for the first time allows an extrapolation to the continuum limit. Our results show the formation of a supermultiplet of bound states, whic… ▽ More

Baryonic states in supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory
Abstract: In $\mathcal{N}$=1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory the superpartner of the gluon is the gluino, which is a spin 1/2 Majorana particle in the adjoint representation of the gauge group. Combining three gluinos, it is possible to form colour neutral bound states, analogous to baryons in QCD. The correlation functions of the corresponding baryonic operators contain a contribution represented by a `su… ▽ More

Ward identities in $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersymmetric SU(3) Yang-Mills theory on the lattice
Abstract: The introduction of a space-time lattice as a regulator of field theories breaks symmetries associated with continuous space-time, i.e.\ Poincar{é} invariance and supersymmetry. A non-zero gluino mass in the supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory causes an additional soft breaking of supersymmetry. We employ the lattice form of SUSY Ward identities, imposing that their continuum form would be recovered… ▽ More

Improved results for the mass spectrum of N=1 supersymmetric SU(3) Yang-Mills theory

Fractional Charge and Confinement of Quarks
Abstract: In quantum chromodynamics with static quarks the confinement-deconfinement phase transition is connected to the spontaneous breaking of the global Z3 center symmetry. This symmetry is lost when one considers dynamical quarks. Owing to the fractional electric charge of quarks, we recover a global Z6 center symmetry when QCD is regarded as a part of the Standard Model. We present results from QCD-li… ▽ More
